Recently We 4 Change is dealing with a gang rape case. A minor girl of 15 years, Karishma (name changed) was lured into a trap of love by Amit Bolake. On their first date Amit took Karishma to a remote area and established physical contact with her without her consent. Amit had ulterior motive too. He wanted to ‘share’ his girlfriend with three of his friends. So he asked them to come on the rendezvous at a given time. When his friends reached Amit left Karishma alone in the dark lonely place and then his friends Yash Meshram, Ritik Mohile, and Abhishek Deshbhratar raped her turn-by-turn.
Amit was waiting at some distance. The three guys took Karishma to Amit and threatened her that if she discloses about the rape they would kill her brother. As Karishma was frightened, she kept her mouth shut. But when after a month the three boys and Amit asked Karishma to come with them once again, Karishma gathered courage to tell her mom.
Her mother lodged a complaint in the nearby police station and an FIR was filed against the four rapists. We 4 Change is following the case, helping Karishma to rehabilitate mentally and trying to make her financially independent. We 4 Change provided a lawyer to Karishma and trying that Karishma should get some money for rehabilitation through Manodhairya Yojana by Maharashtra State.
